Many people always hold onto the misconception about elderly people being the only group that faces this problem, though younger ages indeed have much lower risks of getting arthritis, there are still possibilities of having arthritis at younger ages. Therefore, it is safe to say that arthritis is no longer the only privilege among seniors.

What Is Arthritis?

The joints are the connections between human bones, which mainly take care of our body movement. Between the joints, there are cartilages and synovial fluids, where the cartilages act as an elastic thin layer covering the joint bone to reduce the shock during exercises and synovial fluids acting as a lubricant to ease the movements of bone.

As the joint cartilages getting worn out and deteriorated, there will be pain, redness, swelling, fever, stiffness and other symptoms before it eventually becomes arthritis. Arthritis can occur in any parts of the body: our back, knees, ankles, shoulder joints as well as other body parts, let alone arthritis itself can be categorised into hundred more categories.

For example, athletes, barbers, chefs, salesmen, housewives and other occupations that require long hours of standing and labour. The joints have long been pressured and it will cause the joint tissues strained even quicker, eventually leads to the condition of arthritis.

3. Environment

Damp and colder places (air-conditioned room or lower temperature at night) may cause our joints catch cold, subsequently affect our vitality and our blood circulation. In this case, stiffness and pain will be seen occurring in joints.

4. High Heels

Whether it is thin or thick, as long as the heels are over 2 inches high, they will build great pressures on our hips, knees and knees joints.

5. Joint Injury

Joints that had been hurt or infected before need extra protections even though they seem to be fully healed. It is to prevent the risks of getting arthritis.
